The New South Wales Government has numerous COVID-19 support grants including the following:
JobSaver payment
If your business has an annual turnover between $75,000 and $250 million and you’ve experienced a decline in turnover of at least 30% due to COVID-19 restrictions, you may be eligible for the JobSaver payment.
JobSaver provides fortnightly payments valued at 40% of your weekly payroll. JobSaver payments can be used to help you pay your workers and provide cash flow to keep your business running.
If you’re a sole trader or not-for-profit organisation, you may be eligible for the JobSaver payment.
COVID-19 micro-business grant
If your business has an annual turnover of between $30,000 and $75,000 and you’ve experienced a decline in turnover of at least 30% due to COVID-19 restrictions, you may be eligible for the COVID-19 micro-business grant.
The micro-business grant provides fortnightly payments of $1,500. Payments can be used to:
- pay your workers
- pay utilities and rent
- obtain legal or financial advice
- pay for marketing and communications
- purchase perishable goods
- cover other business costs.
- If you’re a sole trader or not-for-profit organisation, you may be eligible for a micro-business grant.
COVID-19 business grant
Eligible NSW businesses can claim grants between $7,500 and $15,000 as a result of the COVID-19 restrictions.
Three different grant amounts will be available depending on the decline in turnover experienced during the restrictions, being:
- $7,500 for a decline of 30% or more;
- $10,500 for a decline of 50% or more; or
- $15,000 for a decline of 70% or more.
Small business fees and charges rebate
As part of the NSW Government’s COVID-19 stimulus and recovery plan, small businesses, sole traders and not-for-profit organisations may apply for a rebate worth $1,500 to help pay for government fees and charges.
The rebate is available until 30 June 2022.
